Every day, countless children experience fear, threats, or physical and emotional harm. Many remain silent, unsure whom to trust or how to protect themselves.

The SecuKids® Child Protection Program was created to change that. Founded by Oliver Becker, CCPA®, a professional close protection expert with more than 30 years of international experience and now President of the IAPPA, SecuKids® is built on one clear belief:

“Protection begins long before danger appears.”

Originally developed in the late 1990s, SecuKids® was among the first practical violence-prevention programs designed specifically for children and young people.

It teaches essential life skills such as boundaries, awareness, self-confidence, and safe behavior in everyday situations – at school, on the way home, online, and in public spaces.

SecuKids® empowers children to recognize potential dangers, say “no” with confidence, and seek help from trusted adults. Through playful learning, realistic role models, and a supportive environment, the program helps children develop the courage and understanding they need to protect themselves – without fear, but with awareness and strength.

Under the umbrella of the IAPPA, SecuKids® has become an internationally recognized child-protection and prevention initiative, supported by certified instructors, educational institutions, and safety professionals worldwide.
