A Message For The Holidays

Dear members of the IAPPA,

Christmas is just around the corner and a very unusual year is slowly coming to an end. In many countries around the world, the coronavirus has turned many things upside down and is also presenting major challenges for the security industry. We are the ones who must ensure other people's security regardless of everything else.

There is no lockdown for police, security guards, doctors, firefighters, nurses, dispatchers, and all our colleagues. We cannot simply stay at home because we have taken on the responsibility to protect people.

I would like to thank you all very much for your loyalty and a successful restart of IAPPA. 2020 has been a year full of achievements and growth. Not only in numbers but in contributions and innovation. In the middle of a global pandemic.

When I took over this great association in 2018, I had the vision to change many things and to start something new. I believe we have achieved this as a community.

We have many plans for the future and want to bring this strong community even further forward. Together, we will create standards for the entire industry and offer security professionals a home where we are always there for them as a reliable partner.

I wish you all Happy Holidays and a hopefully healthy 2021, in which many things will certainly still be different from what they were before. Together we can do it and we are always there for each other.
